Dashilan is a famous commercial street which has more than 500 years of history outside Beijing’s Qianmen. It refers to a large area including Dashilan Street,Langfang Toutiao, Grain Store Street, and Meishi Street. Dashilan is located in the center of ancient Beijing and is an important part of the South Central Axis.The origin of Dashilan dates back to the first year of Xiaozong Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty. At that time, there was a “curfew” in Beijing. In order to prevent thieves from hiding in the streets and lanes, the imperial court approved the construction of wooden fences at the intersections. That's why it's called "Dashilan". Many famous theaters, tea houses and bookstores are located here. So it's a must-choice place to experience the culture of Beijing.

Yangmeizhu Diagonal Street, which was known by the name of “Diagonal Street”in Ming Dynasty. It gets its name from its inclination from the northeast to the southwest. The street was once home to seven presses, and the site of World press still stands here today. That’s why so many cultural celebrities always came to this street from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. And Shen Congwen, one of the most famous writers in China, started his literary creation process in this street. Hundreds of years later, there’re still stores selling books and cultural products lie in neat rows. Strolling along the street, you shall come across children horsing around, senior citizens enjoying the sunshine, and the sounds of mah-jongg playing. The Beijing of Republican period and the modern age divided by the Diagonal Street, provide both the snapshot of rich history and the prosperous atmosphere, which gives us the sense of surprise as if going on a time travel.

新疆虽然地大，地形种类也多，但是我们在保留接近大自然，不破坏自然的同时，也跟上了时代的步伐，迈向了现代化。新疆是“一带一路”规划中丝绸之路的经济带核心区，也是丝绸之路商贸物流和文化科教中心，更是丝绸之路向北向西的窗口。丝绸之路使新疆筑建了坚实的经济基础，所以在现代化的步伐中，新疆才能游刃有余。乌鲁木齐作为新疆的省会，可以很好地代表现代化的新疆。

2022年4月26日，我校正式发布了《北京第二外国语学院关于进一步加强学风建设的实施方法》，这是我校加强学风建设的又一力举。深化教育改革，打造优良学风文化氛围，积极引导学生树立正确的学习观，构建齐抓共管的学风机制，强化学风制度保障，培育“治学”“乐学“尚学”“励学”“治学”之风，我校将每学年选拔“学风代言人”，形成榜样人物示范效应，开展“学霸班级”，“学霸宿舍”等各类评选活动，继续加强“学业发展咨询师”队伍建设，采用多种方式为学生提供学习习惯，学习方法，学业发展等咨询服务。
自2022年5月5日至5月15日， “海棠花开”金牌实习生挑战赛正式步入报名阶段。此赛事面向我校全体在校生举办，旨在通过培训和比赛相结合的形式，对参赛学生简历制作、面试技巧、职场礼仪等进行综合考察，并为经过学校和企业层层选拔的参赛学生提供优质的2022年暑期实习机会。同时，以赛促学，以赛促用，引导我校学生尽早关注自身职业生涯规划，了解职场需求，找准职业定位，提升求职技能，做好就业准备，进而营造良好的校园就业氛围。
2022年5月3日上午，我校第四届“我与校领导有个约定”青春长跑拉开序幕，全校各地二外青年在遵守当地防疫政策的情况下，共聚线上开启这个青春的5月。计金标校长也亲手为同学们写下寄语“奔跑吧，二外青年”赠与全体二外青年学子，鼓励大家加入到强身健体的队伍里，锻炼好身体。

为进一步加强对青年的法制宣传教育，增强大学生法制意识和维权意识，本次消费者权益知识竞赛采取“初赛线上笔试＋决赛制作海报”的形式，使同学们学会用法律的武器维护自己的合法权益。
北京语言大学于1962年建校，至 2022年已走过六十个春秋。为共同祝贺北语迎来花甲之年，同时丰富我校学生的学习生活，北语校健美操队特举办“以舞相约，共祝校庆”主题舞蹈视频大赛，在舞蹈中表达北语学子对学校的祝福，同时也希望可以通过这次比赛给疫情下居家的学生们带去活力与激情。
“未来杯”创新创业大赛培训讲座于线上顺利进行。此次大赛是我校为“挑战杯”中国大学生创业计划竞赛、“互联网＋”大学生创新创业大赛筹办的校级赛事。讲座就项目的创新性、实践性、社会性、团队成员和未来发展等方面进行指导，同时给予同学们路演答辩时的建议，为大赛的精彩开展增色添彩。

Registration opens for the 13th Chinese Debate Competition of Beijing Foreign Studies University. Each school or department can only have one official representative team, while the rest of the students can participate in the competition by forming unofficial teams. The theme of this year’s competition is “Light up the fire of the Winter Olympics, debate with the voice of the times”.
Recently, the presentation of the multilingual editions of the poetry collections namely "The Folds of The Sunset" and "Rainbow in A Gust of Wind" was held at the Museum of World Languages of Beijing Foreign Studies University. "The Folds of The Sunset" was written by indigenous peoples of Mexico and "Rainbow in A Gust of Wind" was written by ethnic minorities of China.
Beijing Foreign Studies University’s Volleyball Tournament is underway with a total of 15 women’s teams and 13 men’s teams participating in the games this year. Both women’s teams and men’s teams were divided into two groups during the grouping stage and the top eight teams will be qualified for the knockout stage.

北京第二外国语学院文化与传播学院的熊涵睿同学，在疫情期间积极投身到社区抗疫志愿工作中。当他所处的劲松街道百环社区被划定为临时管控区后，他作为预备党员，主动前往社区党支部报到，报名成为抗疫志愿者，协助社区工作人员完成各项防疫工作。
